Docencia con perspectiva de género en el Grado de Pedagogía

Abstract

Faculty of Education of Universidad de La Laguna has promoted this project aimed to incorporate gender perspective in teaching activities in all levels of the Degree in Education during academic year 2017-18. The project has involved 15 teachers from five different departments. The results of the project were evaluated through an online questionnaire of 8 questions, concluding that: 1.- All teaching guides related to participating teachers’ subjects have been updated into a non-sexist language, visualizing female authorship in the compulsory bibliography and enriching APA citation with names and surnames of female and male authors; 2.- Half of teachers agreed with being able to manage gender perspective changes in the didactic methodology, the contents, and the curricular materials. To a lesser extent the rest of teachers also did. Most of teachers were able to make visible relevant women teachers and their scientific work in their related areas of knowledge, although 2 participants did not achieve it; 4.- All teachers estimated that they have improved their teaching competences concerning gender perspective; and 5.- Teachers’ level of satisfaction with their participation in the project was very high. Since results have been very satisfactory, GENEDUCA project carries on through 2018-19 academic year, spreading it to the rest of the grades of Faculty of Education.
