Abstract

This work seeks to assume an updated research, reflections and positions in recent years are being made and published in relation to the digital textbook revision. It should be noted that studies on this subject are a relatively recent phenomenon so much of the work and analyzed contextualized research in the last five years.The data sources used for revision of the work, research and reflections published in relation to digital textbooks have been, among others, ISOC, PSEDISOC, DIALNET, CEDUS, RESH, REDINED, ERIC, DIALOG), the magazines education existing in Spain and localized sources via the Internet. Also, we had particularly in mind, conferences, seminars and activities that have occurred recently, both nationally and internationally and have been directed particularly to the field of research in textbooks.As for the structure of the article, at first briefly introduce some of the reasons that justify the need for this review on the subject at the moment, then, taking into account the need to realize the meaning of our work and possible leads in the field of research and educational practice include chapter do we mean by digital textbook ?, through which we intend to realize the meaning of the concept of digital textbook and possible leads in the field of research and educational practice.Later in the chapter Research on digital textbook, we present the review of major studies and research related to the topic. The chapter is structured in different thematic analysis based on the studies found.
