We present the first results of a study that aims to identify, analyze, understand and evaluate the digital competence that 11 and 12 years old children possess and use in their daily lives and its possible influence in social inclusion processes. With qualitative methodology through in-depth interviews, the first results show the importance that is given to mobile devices. Although television continues to have an important place in pre-teenager leisure, the primacy of video games to digital skills development, mentored by youtubers that guide learning, is significant.
