Résumé
Altmetrics try to evaluate the visibility and reception of academic articles in the web and social media, as a complement to the citation data and as a proof of their larger scope beyond the scientific community. This study aims to analyze and understand the relationship between these indicators and some bibliographic characteristics and subjects for a set of articles from Brazilian, Portuguese and Spanish journals. For exploratory purposes, 150 articles have been analyzed, according to issues as publication date, authorship and collaboration, area of research, language, citation counts and values of altmetrics indicators. Results show differences for the best-positioned articles in altmetrics rankings, based on some characteristics such as the number of authors and language.
