Current technological progress is helping to promote pedagogical initiatives to transform teaching-learning processes through educational proposals and models that allow the development of significant learning, digital competence and social skills necessary to successfully face the challenges of the twenty-first century. This article presents some of the results generated by the realization of a learning experience on digital skills, associated with computational thinking, using programming challenges and the educational robotics kit Bee-bot®. For the study, a quasi-experimental design was used, with Pretest/ Postest measurements and control group. A total of 40 students and 2 teachers from a concerted school in Salamanca, Spain, participated in the activities during the third quarter of the 2017-2018 academic year. A rubric, a checklist and interviews were used as data collection instruments. The results show the existence of significant differences in favor of the experimental group, in reference to the mastery and learning of computational thinking, through the construction of sequences. In addition, positive social behaviors were observed among students exposed to learning activities and a favorable attitude towards the resource of educational robotics
