Abstract
The proliferation of scientific literature that is emerging as a result of the refugee crisis and the treatment that the press has been doing on the phenomenon shows the concern raised by the issue. The purpose of this article is to analyze the coverage of the Spanish press on the theme of the Syrian refugee crisis in the European continent through the analysis of the headline and press photography. To this end, we have reviewed the work of the editorials of two of the main media in Spain to analyze the media treatment of the refugee situation, using as a methodology the analysis of content of photographs and press headlines and focusing our interest in the visual treatment of conflict, due to the growing relevance that image has acquired in our contexts.
