Resumen

Most of the educational research correspond to studies developed in regulated education. However, learning is often carried out without explicit teaching, being invisible to formal education. This paper shows the main results of a MOOC case study, carried out within the ECOEC national R&D project. From a qualitative methodological perspective, the discourse of the participants of the course are analyzed to examine different issues: to observe how the learning process is linked to a system of individual, social, institutional and cultural mediations; to analyze what kind of skills or knowledge the participants bring into play during their development; and to determine how shared knowledge is built in these spaces. The obtained evidences shed light on how the knowledge that expands beyond the walls of the formal education collaborates in the task of training citizens.
