Abstract

In the actual panorama, measures promoted on gender and information technology and the communication (ICT), we are situated in an improvement of the participation of rural women in the society of information (Fernández, 2015). That said, the objetive of the research is to identify and analyze the processes of self-inclusion that rural women used for access to and use of technologies. Therefore, the proposed research is part of the qualitative perspective, more specifically, in an approach to narrative research using techniques of data collection as the interview in depth and life stories applied to a sample of women (aged 18-65 years) of Extremadura rural environments located in the provinces of Cáceres and Badajoz. With the analysis of the data, we will obtain profiles of "connected" rural women that will help advance in research related to digital technologies and rural women.
