Abstract

For the first time in the School of Education of San Sebastian two lecturers from different departments have driven an experience in which students and children are given the main role. Ours are students in the fourth year of the Degree in Early Childhood Education, and the participating several hundred children are at pre-school (age 5). During the year 2013-14 the School of Education of San Sebastian have hosted 328 children ages 3 to 6 years and their 18 teachers belonging to 10 different schools in the province of Gipuzkoa. These children have taken part in 13 science workshops and 16 Psychomotor Practice sessions led and accompanied by the fourth grade students This paper resumes the theoretical framework underlying the experience, the main keys that have enabled its implementation, the methodology carried out, and some of the results and initial conclusions drawn at end of the process.
