Abstract

This review reflects the essence of the work called Digital competence and preadolescence. The challenges of e-inclusion, coordinated by Adriana Gewerc and Esther Martínez Piñeiro. The book emerges as a result of the CDEPI research project: Digital competence in compulsory education students: socio-family environments, appropriation processes and e-inclusion proposals, funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (EDU2015-67975-C3-1-P ) developed between 2015 and 2018. The purpose of the research was to establish a holistic vision of digital competence in 6th grade students, as well as its impact on social inclusion.  The text offers a rich seven preadolescents (11 and 12 years old) digital life portrait belonging to the autonomous communities of Galicia and Madrid.
