Abstract

We are facing a great challenge: revaluing, redefining, reconceptualizing and dignifying aging in our society. I think that this is not an easy challenge. Itwould need a fast, rigorous and global answer based at least in four grounds: the media ¿that owe to change aging image and presence-, the academic world ¿that have an increasing scientific interest on thus subject and needs to produce newer studies-, the educational world ¿understood from an holistic point of view, that would have to introduce the respect on aged people as a transversal subject in education, favouring intergenerational relation- and the whole society ¿being a fundamental basis of the aging reconceptualization. It is all our business, definitely, to make that old people would be respected and listened. It would be an unprecedent personal, professional and community process.
