Resumen

To know how to speak, read and write in another language and another different thing is a particular model of bilingualism is being implemented in schools and institutes throughout the State in an uncritical way and without any evaluation that can really understand and analize the Pedagogical purpose and what effects they are having. Is being bilingual a necessity and must it be an end of the educational system? The basic problem is that the association of this model with the elite and elite schools has made bilingual education in English in educational centers establisment a "future panacea". This mental neocolonialism has been assumed by political parties, wether for conservative as neoliberal or social-democratic, which has been turned into a big promise in their educational programs.
