Within the general framework of research on the experience of being a child today, this paper analyzes the social representations generated by advertising in the fashion industry based on a series of archetypes denoted in their photographs and advertising videos. In this context, the archive is used as a visual culture research strategy which allows pointing out and characterized the different narratives which are projecting and articulating discourses on childhood. These discourses fixe what a child should be, and particularly, parents’ conceptions and practices around childhood.
