Resumen

Much of contemporary art seeks to deconstruct critically the knowledge, objects, and spaces whichcondition our lives. Based on this contextual inclination and criticism of the same process ofrepresentation, we attempt to elucidate the possibility of contemporary art to give meaning to thelandscape surrounding us. To do this, we rely on the works of art made by Asier Mendizabal, GorkaEizagirre and Ibon Aranberri in relation to the representation of the Basque countryside, analyzingthe relationships between the images that form the landscape and the subject that they describe.
