Doctor by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra with the thesis A Critical analysis of full-body interaction learning environments towards novel design and evaluation methods 2016. Supervised by Dr. Narcís Parés Burgués.

Dr. Laura Malinverni is a postdoctoral researcher at Universitat de Barcelona at the Department of Visual Arts and Design. Her research focuses on creative methods to research and design with and for children. She holds a PhD in Information and Communication Technologies (University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona), a MSc in Cognitive Science and Interactive Media (University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona), and a BS in Fine Arts (Fine Art Academy, Bologna). Her research interests focus primarily on the area of multimedia education. In the past, she has worked as a researcher in both EU and national-funded projects, focusing on conducting participatory research with children and stakeholders. She also has worked for more than 10 years as an educator in several art projects with at-risk youth. Her projects in this area have received several awards and recognitions. Her research has been published in international journals and conferences such as International Journal of Child-Computer Interaction, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Computers in Human Behavior, Educational Technology Research & Development and SIGCHI conferences.
