El grupo de investigación Profesorado, comunicación e investigación educativa, ubicado en el departamento de Didáctica y Organización Escolar de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación, estudia la experiencia escolar de alumnado, profesorado y familias para promover mejoras en el funcionamiento democrático de los centros escolares desde el análisis narrativo y biográfico. Trabajan estrechamente conectados con colegios de educación primaria y secundaria con el objetivo de desarrollar estrategias colaborativas y participativas con los mismos, para su mejora. Además, las 34 personas que integran este equipo multidisciplinar e internacional creado en 1995 están involucrados en el estudio de sujetos en situación de marginalidad y riesgo.
